Description

The Residual Chlorine Dioxide Test Strip detects levels from 0-10ppm in increments of 0.25, 0.5, 1, 3, 5, and 10. The color chart ranges from a light to dark pink. Chlorine dioxide has a higher oxidation capacity than chlorine or ozone, which means lower concentrations of chlorine dioxide can be used to achieve effective disinfection. It can also be used when large amounts of organic matter are present.

Chlorine Dioxide is one of several oxides of chlorine, it is a potent and useful oxidising agent used in water treatment (desinfection) and in bleaching (it is mostly used for pulp bleaching in paper production). It is highly water soluble, especially in cold water.

Suitable for: fresh water samples, including water from taps, wells, springs, boreholes, ponds as well as rain water

Total Test Time: approx. 40 secs

How to Use:

1. Using a cup-size sample, immerse the test strip for 2 seconds.
2. Remove strip with the pad face up. Do not shake off excess water.
3. Compare the test strip to the color chart immediately.
4. Discard test strip after 30 seconds.
